Child Development Centres - East Lancashire
Description
The Child Development Centre (CDC) service assesses and treats pre school children who have identified health needs. These can include children who have difficulties communicating and interacting with others, or a delay to their development in two or more areas. We also provide assessments where there is likely to be an underlying diagnosis such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Currently the service is delivered to preschool children and will include those who have had deferred entry to school. We take referrals of children living within Burnley, Pendle, Hyndburn, Ribble Valley and Rossendale.
Referrals to the service are received from the Community Consultant Paediatrician, Neonatology Consultant or Physiotherapy. If you think your child may need our service, please discuss this with any of the professionals mentioned who will be able to advise you and make a referral if appropriate.
